CHRIS ILTSHISHIN
OWNER / LEAD TRAINER
ABOUT CHRIS
Chris is the Owner and Lead Trainer of Seams Performance Centre, where he works with athletes and clients across baseball, softball, strength training, and athletic development.
Growing up in the Kitchener–Waterloo area, Chris played youth baseball with the Tigers and Panthers before earning a scholarship to Frontier Community College (NJCAA) in Illinois and later transferring to Tusculum University (NCAA). He returned home to complete his Honours Business degree at the University of Waterloo, earning OUA All-Star recognition along the way, before finishing his playing career in the IBL.
For the past eight years, Chris has been with the Ontario Nationals Baseball Club, serving as a Head Coach and recently being named General Manager. He has also served as the Nationals' primary recruiter and, through his broader experience and network, has helped place more than 60 Canadian baseball and softball athletes at colleges and universities across Canada and the United States.
Chris has spent the past nine years providing personal instruction in baseball and softball, specializing in hitting, pitching, and infield defence. He works with athletes at every level—from beginners to high-level collegiate and professional players—and is certified in both hitting and pitching through Rapsodo.
On the strength and conditioning side, Chris is a National Council on Strength and Fitness Certified Personal Trainer and a former trainer at GoodLife Fitness. He works with athletes and general clients alike, designing programs focused on movement quality, mobility, practical strength, and performance.
Through Seams Performance Centre, Chris brings these areas together under one roof, combining individual instruction, athletic development, strength and conditioning, and his experience in the Canadian and U.S. baseball landscape to help each athlete or client work toward their individual goals.
